The majority of the clothing we manufacture is made from Dartex® fabric, which is a polyurethane transfer coated, warp knitted nylon, making it waterproof, vapour permeable and washable – hand
or machine. The fabric is resistant to grease, oil and dirt, and is particularly suited to workers who come into contact
with oil based products.
All in-house manufactured hi-visibility garments are manufactured to BS EN471.

Cardno uses
3M Scotchlite™reflective,
glass bead technology tape, for both polyester and Dartex® ranges, to provide superior ‘all-direction’ reflection
and a durable finish.
Cardno use 3M Thinsulate™ in all of their lined garmets. Thinsulate™ is a lightweight thermal
insulation offering maximum comfort along with the following features:
- slimline optimum thermal insulation
- keeps you warm in damp or wet conditions
- less bulk for excellant comfort
- superior active-breathing performance
