Chain Assemblies

Chain assemblies are available in 2, 3 & 4 leg configurations, in lengths to suit customer requirements.
Our standard range chain is grade 80, 7mm to 16mm, with corresponding components.

Our chain assemblies terminate in various hook types – sling, J, auto-lock, grab, clutch and foundry. The majority of our chain equipment is assembled, tested and certificated in-house. All meet BS EN 818-4 1995

Chain & Components

Crosby products are manufactured in the USA and Europe, the majority of which are ‘Heat Treated’, this allows the product to deform, as opposed to breaking, if overloading occurs. The range of chain, hooks and shackles are grade 100 & Grade 80. All products are individually certificated for ultimate traceability.

Crosby manufacture a full range of lifting accessories, including sling savers, wire rope terminals, shackles, hooks & a full range of chain fittings & accessories, also the renowned McKissick® block range.

The Crosby ELIMINATOR™ has chain ‘shorteners’/reducers “built-in”- no need for additional legs of chain and components to meet the required working load or to de-rate your chain sling by 20%!

Crosby Eliminator™

The Crosby ELIMINATOR™ combines selected features and functionality of a master link, connecting link, grab hook and adjuster legs to provide you with one fitting that is suitable for applications that require an adjustable length chain sling.

• Forged Alloy Steel - Quenched and Tempered.
• Innovative two piece design allows for maximum flexibility
• Individually Proof Tested with certification.
• The Crosby ELIMINATOR™, if properly installed and locked, can be used for personnel lifting applications and meets the intent of OSHA Rule 1926.550 (g) (4) (iv) (B).
• Suitable for use with Grade 100 and Grade 80 chain.
• Engineered to accomodate optional locking pin that can be inserted to keep the shortened chain legs in place when sling is in a slack condition.
• Fatigue rated at 1-1/2 times the Working Load Limit at 20,000 cycles.
